Brisk shipping was recorded at the Port Qasim where seven ships scheduled to load/offload containers, rice, edible oil, furnace oil, chemicals and LPG were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, FOTCO Terminal, EVTL Terminal and Progas Terminal respectively on Wednesday, 24th November.
Meanwhile two ships carrying containers and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Higher side berth occupancy was reported at Port on Wednesday where a total of eleven ships namely C.V Aruni Rickmers, C.V CMA CGM Jade, M.V Captain Wael, M.V Hae Song, M.V Alexi-I, M.V Orbit, M.T SC Dong Hai, M.T AI-Noof, M,T Kasugta, M,T Silve Coral and M.V Asia are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement, sugar, edible oil, furnace oil, chemicals, LPG and coal respectively.
A cargo volume of 72,173 tonnes comprising 55,917 tonnes import cargo and 16,256 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried In 2,092 Containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
Three ships C.V Nedlloyd Tasman, C.V Aruni Rickmers and C.V CMA CGM Jade sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship M.T Silve Coral is expected to sail on Thursday.
Two ships C.V NYK Kai and C.V HS Beetnoven carrying containers are expected to take berths at QICT on Thursday, 25th November |
