ABG Shipyard Ltd announced 9.61 per cent increase in net sales to Rs 540.18 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2010, compared to Rs 492.82 crore in the same period last fiscal, Exim News Service informs.
Net profit stood at Rs 53.45 crore, as against Rs 82.29 crore for the corresponding previous quarter. The net profit for the previous year's corresponding quarter was inclusive of an exceptional gain of Rs 34.39 crore on sale of shares.
For the quarter, the company registered an EBITDA of Rs 139.19 crore compared to Rs 145.61 crore during the same period last year. Earnings per share (EPS) for Q3FY11 stood at Rs 10.5, as against Rs 16.16 per share.
For the nine-month period, ABG reported net sales of Rs 1,545.11 crore against Rs 1,287.51 crore, up by 20 per cent from the corresponding period of last year, while net profit stood at Rs 148.13 crore, as against Rs 176.07 crore (inclusive of exceptional item as mentioned).
The company bagged an order for Rs 370 crore from a Qatar-based firm, taking the total order book position to Rs 14,500 crore (as on December 31). |
