The union representing British Airways cabin crew in their dispute with the airline is resisting pressure from the UK government to restart talks to prevent a planned strike, the BBC reported.
According to the Guardian newspaper, Prime Minister Gordon Brown called Tony Woodley, the Unite union's co-leader, to discuss possible solutions to the pending strike. Transport Secretary Lord Adonis also waded into the dispute, telling the BBC Sunday that a strike would be "totally unjustified".
