PD Ports will commence work in November on the first phase of the £29 million (US$43m) expansion of its Teesport container terminal.

Capacity will be expanded from 235,000teu to 450,000teu in the first phase, which is expected to take 10 months and will focus on reconfiguring the terminal layout and installing new rubber-tyred gantry cranes.
