The European Union (EU) has blacklisted Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL), along with 24 associated companies.
In a fourth round of sanctions in response to concerns over Iran's nuclear programme, the EU has frozen the economic resources of designated entities of IRISL.
But this does not require the impounding or detention of vessels owned by such entities or the cargoes carried by them, insofar as such cargoes belong to third-parties, nor does it require the detention of the crew contracted by them. |
