Hanjin Shipping and Wan Hai Lines will start co-operating in the transpacific trade from the middle of March in bid to win more cargo from southern China.
Wan Hai will provide an additional 4,000teu vessel on Hanjin's SJX (South East Asia ?C Japan Express) service - which the carrier launched last June ?C and will co-operate the service.
With six 4,000teu vessels deployed from March, the SJX service will then add a call at Hong Kong.
The two carriers have also entered into a cross-charter arrangement on Hanjin??s PSX (Pacific Express) service to offer additional coverage.
The revised SJX service will have a port rotation of Port Kelang ?C Singapore ?C Ho Chi Minh (Cai Mep) ?C Hong Kong ?C Yantian ?C Osaka ?C Tokyo ?C Long Beach ?C Oakland ?C Tokyo ?C Osaka ?C Hong Kong
Meanwhile, the revised PSX service will have a port rotation of Yantian ?C Kaohsiung ?C Shanghai ?C Kwangyang ?C Pusan ?C Long Beach ?C Oakland ?C Seattle ?C Pusan.
