Container congestion has surfaced again at the major portion of Chittagong port over the past few days mainly because of slow delivery of cargo, forcing many ships to stop unloading activities, reported The Financial Express (Bangladesh).

The GCB (general cargo berth) area, a major part of Chittagong port, has remained congested for a few days.

As of Saturday, some 8,608 containers were stockpiled in the area against its capacity of nearly 9,000 containers.
